    This is very Japanese.
    And in many ways, what CEO’s should be like.
    It should be enough to have power over the direction of a company – is that not a priveledge in itself ? Why do people also seek to pay themselves such huge amounts..?

    The Japanese are taught to be team players. Americans are taught to stand up for their individuality.

    To quote Dave Barry:
    “It would be easier to get the entire population of Tokyo to wear matching outfits than to get any two randomly selected Americans to agree on pizza toppings.”
