On a corner of Nevskiy and Malaya Sadovaya on the building of Eliseev-gastronom a little sculpture of a cat was installed. It appeared there in 2000. The authors of the sculpture are a sculpture Vladimir Petrovichev, a historian Sergey Lebedev and an architect Larisa Domracheva. The cat is made of crude iron and called Elisey. Legend says that a black cat helped duke Shuvalov to cope with evil spirits that was trying to prevent architect Kokotin from building a duke’s palace in 18th century. Cat’s memorial became one of those to which tourists leave money for luck. And local population sometimes gather this money. It happens very quickly:

In Arizona Gold Canyon the bobcat clawed its way to the top of the 12-meter saguaro cactus trying to escape a mountain lion. The bobcat stayed up there all day long. The mountain lion eventually lost interest and wandered off.

We can not help but cover informal celebration of Children’s Day. It has become a good tradition. Once a year in Moscow park a famous Big Meadow changes completely. Very remarkable people are gathering here. Worn out jeans, long hair (regardless of the gender or age), lots of beads baubles on hands and legs.
